November is College Awareness Month.  Your teachers have some advice for you when thinking about your post-secondary options.

Mrs. Selvig attended the University of Montana.  Her advice is, "Take a physical visit to any school you are interested in to check out everything. The campus, any department of study you may be interested in, visit with people within that department, the dorms, cafeteria and certainly the town or city itself. Check out everything! The place you choose will be a big part of your life for the next four years or longer! "‚Äč

Student Council: Student Council meeting November 9 at lunch in Mr. Skalsky's room.

Freshman will meet in the auditorium on Thursday during advisory to discuss the freshman magazine sales fundraiser.  Those of you that wjll not be in school on Thursday can pick up the information from Mr. Sikveland.

Winter Cheer: If you are interested in trying out for the Winter Cheer Season, please sign up in the office by November 15th.  We will be having cheer practice in the top part of the gym on November 16, 17, & 20th from 5:00-6:30 pm  The Cheer Tryouts will be held in the Cafeteria on November 21st from 5-7 pm.  Teams will be posted no later than November 22nd. If you have questions please call Mandy Boner at 377-1105 or 377-7857. 

Wrestling: Meeting for anyone interested in wrestling this year at 3:30 in the cafeteria Tomorrow 11/9.

Seniors:  This is Montana College Application Week.  Please fill out the college application worksheet you received last week during advisory.  It will make filling out your online application a much easier process when we are in the computer lab tomorrow during Senior English.

DCHS Activities: Drug Screen for winter athletics will be Monday 11/13 and Tuesday 11/14 after school from 3:30-6:00 PM. Anyone wanting to participate in girls & boys Basketball, Wrestling, and Cheer need to get screened. Thanks!

DCHS FOOTBALL: All football players will turn in gear TODAY after school. Please wash all your equipment before Wednesday. Thank You!!! Coach BUCKLEY

Juniors and Seniors:  The following representatives with be visiting the DCHS counseling office City College at MSU-Billings will be visiting at 1:45 pm on Wednesday, November 8th.  Remember, we have no school on Friday, November 10th and this date would be a great opportunity to make a college visit.  If you plan to visit with a rep here on campus, please make sure you are making arrangements with your classroom teacher prior to the rep visit.

COED: Tickets on sale today they are 15.00 each. You can get them at lunch time by the cafeteria from 11/8 to 11/15.

Lunch for today: Chicken burger with potato, fruit, veggie, and milk or salad bar.

Mrs. Frank attended MSU-Bozeman, DCC, Rocky Mountain College, and Grand Canyon University-online (Master's). Her advice is, "If you don't know what you want to do for a career, take some time to figure it out. Get your general credits out of the way if you are planning to go to college. Do a lot of research online or in person to check out various programs of study, even if this means trade school. If you want to work first, see if you can do some job shadowing with places you are interested in."
