Academic, Personal and Career Counseling

Academic:  Parents concerned about their child's academic progress are encouraged to contact their child's teachers and/or counselor.

Personal:  Students encountering personal issues are encouraged to meet with one of the counselors or the school social worker.  Student problems are addressed in a confidential manner.  Students requiring long-term counseling may be referred to a counselor or therapist in an outside agency.

Career:  The guidance department offers students various avenues to explore their career options.  The guidance department maintains a wide variety of post-secondary and vocational reference material.  Students have access to the Montana Career Information System, which contains information on vocational, 2 and 4 year post-secondary schools, plus military options, in addition to up-to-date state and national occupational data. As Juniors, students take the ASVAB (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery.  Students may take the opportunity during their Junior and Senior years to attend the Montana Post-Secondary Opportunity Fair held in September.
