Janet (Anderson) Hardy
709 E Mountain Ridge Road
Lake Almanor, CA 96137
I moved to a mountain home in Northern California in March, 1999. My husband Richard passed away on November 27, 1996, so I closed down the family mortgage business and sold the home in San Diego. After working for my son for two years in San Diego, I am semi--retired in the mountains and do some work for my son via the computer.
I spend my time quilting, reading, family history, family memory books, and visiting family. I have four children and 13 grandchildren. I love the peace and tranquility of my new home.

I’ve lived in the Pacific Northwest since the end of 1986 when Tom retired from Coca--Cola. We started up a business here after Tom’s retirement with all four of our children involved. We are out of it now, but two of our three sons and a daughter live in this area and our youngest son in Maui, Hawaii -- all owning their own businesses. All are married and we have seven grandchildren, with # 8 due in September.
We bought a condo in Sunriver, Oregon, about 8 years ago and spend most of the summer there. In the winter we travel quite a bit to get out of rainy Oregon. We both enjoy golf. Tom fishes, and I do lots of needlework.

I married Carl in 1978. Between us, we have 5 daughters and 1 son; 10 grandchildren and 5 great--grandchildren I retired from Weyerhaeuser Co. in 1985 and Carl from the FAA in 1987. Since then we’ve seen much of the USA. One of the pitfalls of traveling as a couple is that we have very few pictures together!

Dick and June (Hanna) Coonfare
637 S 38th W
Billings, MT 59102
After more than 30 years with the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers, Dick retired. We moved several times during his tour of duty which included areas around Montana and Washington, Colorado, New York, North Dakota, and Saudi Arabia for 6 years. During this time, I did secretarial work for MDU, Nebraska Social Services, Federal Government, and owned a secretarial business for 15 years. After retiring from the Corps, we managed a lovely retirement home of 129 units in Billings for 1 ½ years. We dearly loved the residents; however, it was more than we semi--retirees were looking for, which included 24 hour call. Sometimes it was two months before we had a day off.
For the past 2 years, we have worked in Yellowstone Park for Hamilton Stores where Dick is the Safety Manager for all 14 stores in the park, their warehouse, and stores in West Yellowstone. We own a 1997, 32' Bounder motor home that we live in during the summer in the park. Oh yes, we will be great grandparents in June. Funny how time slips away.

The 90s have been wonderful years for us. In ‘92 I retired from Glenbard West High School’s Social Studies Dept. and Lou retired as Director of Quality Control for Siemens Gammasonics. We have really enjoyed these years with trips to Hawaii and Europe, winter camping, (by traveling on cross--country skis, and dog-sledding) in Minnesota’s boundary waters, two cross--country ski trips to Yellowstone and for the past four years in February, in Sarasota with lots of golf and tennis.
Our daughter earned her Master’s and has worked as a currency options trader here and in London. She married Michael Pileggi in 1996. They have a year old son, Luke, and still live in London. Our son David married Roxanne Neuberger in 1993 and lives in Brookings, SD, where he is a fisheries biologist and his wife teaches. They have two daughters, Lydia almost four and Emma two. Grandchildren are our great delight.
As retirees we have met many new friends and challenges. We still enjoy tennis but find that golf had taken over our tennis and bicycling time when we’re at home. Our only regret is that life seems to be moving along much too quickly.

We have retired from farming, but still live in the same place. Jeff keeps himself busy doing odd jobs and visiting friends. I have taken up quilting and enjoy it very much. Belong to two guilds and also go to a Quilters Retreat in Medora every year. FUN!
We also enjoy our three grandchildren immensely; Heather 14, Daniel 12, and Kenneth 6. They live about a mile from us, so see them often and go to their school events. Our son Gary and wife Maureen have rented our farm.

June and I retired in 1992, purchased a 5th wheel and did a lot of summertime traveling. Several years ago we purchased property in Lincoln, Montana and now spend much of our summers there. The winter months have been spent volunteering at the public library in Glendive.
Our son T.J., after a stint in the Marine Corps and Desert Storm, married a wonderful lady with two sons and is principal of Boulder High School at Boulder, Montana.

I retired in January ‘94 after working 20 years at an insurance agency in Billings. Since then, Bill and I have spent a lot of time with our children and grandchildren here in Billings, in Spearfish, SD and in Houston, TX. We enjoy doing some traveling and have just returned from a Panama Canal cruise. I keep in close contact with several former classmates who live here. I would enjoy visiting with any other former classmates when they are in Billings.
Emery and Vivian Holzworth

Des Moines, IA 50310
Since 1985 we have lived in Des Moines. Until 1989 I was an Associate Pastor of Union Park Baptist Church here. Since then I have been self--employed as a painting contractor. After serving pastorates in the Midwest for over 35 years, I find the restoration of homes to be a very satisfying work. In 1956 I married Vivian Swanson from Richey. Vivian is a home health care nurse, working several hours daily. We have been blessed with two children. Carmen, married to Bob Peota, lives in Minneapolis and has two sons. Our son Carl lives in Portland, Oregon, is married to Angela, and they have been foster parents for about a year. Currently they have two little girls, Chelsea and Lillie, both under one year.

Stan and Arlene still reside on the family farm west of Lindsay. Stan is still a used--car dealer and Arlene works for her daughter at a photography studio in Glendive. They have 11 grandchildren now and enjoy attending their basketball games and other school activities.
Arlene and her children and grand-children still enjoy performing musical shows. They were asked to entertain at the VFW National Commander-- in--Chief’s homecoming in Billings, with a Salute to Veterans. They call themselves Troupe Kneipkamp and have performed at many functions throughout the state. Their shows generally consist of dancing and singing and just good old fashioned family entertainment!

I am retired and Bev is working part--time in Adult Basic Education at the college. We enjoy our big yard and I refinish old furniture. Our four children are scattered -- Connie, a teacher, and her family live on a ranch near Broadus; Kevin, our cowboy, and his family work on a ranch near Ashland; Casey, an environ-mental engineer, and his wife live in Elko, Nev.; Cody teaches in Miles city and builds furniture. Our five grand-children keep us busy with their activities. We have enjoyed a lot of travel and plan to do much more in a newly acquired 5th wheel.

We’ve had an uneventful last ten years. We’ve been back in the states and retired. Jerry has enjoyed being a full----time golfer. We built a home on the lake with a golf course half a block away. I still miss not traveling but Jerry doesn’t. We’re closer to the grandchildren and that is wonderful. Did make a trip to London and Paris, but it was all too short.
There is a lot to see so close by, and just never find the time to go very far.

Robert and Myrtle Mohr
14696 Denmark Ct
Apple Valley, MN 55124
I have tried retirement a couple of times and it doesn’t suite me. It has to do with being married to a younger woman. Myrt won’t be able to retire for another four years, so I am still driving a school bus for handicapped children. I have become a born again fisherman, and spend as much of my spare time as possible fishing --
both summer and winter.
Both Myrt and I are avid wrestling fans -- not professional wrestling, the real stuff. The University of Minnesota has a good program, and we have a lot of fun following them to out--of--town matches, the Big 10 Championship, and the NCAA Nationals.

Omaha, NE 68118--3541
Since our last reunion in 1990, I have retired from Union Pacific Railroad. Lois has also retired from nursing and we have decided to continue living in Omaha. On our trips to the southwest we looked at several retirement communities, but none of the areas seemed to compare to what was available for us in Omaha. We have since moved to a fairway home in a retirement community. I am involved with the Masonic Lodge and Shrine, and do volunteer work. We have plenty to keep busy and like everyone, seem to have more to do than time in which we have to get it done!

Corydon, IA 50060
We live in a small town of 1,700 and I love it. Have been very active in community affairs for the past 10 years. I was the first woman ever elected to the city council and have been re--elected twice. I’m active in the Chamber of Commerce, Corydon Development and was one of the instigators in establishment of the Retired Senior Volunteer Program.
We do travel quite a bit – a Canadian genealogy trip, a Mediterranean 40th anniversary cruise, Carribean Bridge cruise, Panama Canal, and Hawaii. I became a Life Master at Bridge. I got into running in my 50s, and have done four marathons. I went to China with my daughter in law and was able to run on the Great Wall! Our children finally have produced four grandchildren for us, two boys and two girls. I still ramrod Bob’s practice. I accomplished a lot, but I’m afraid I will have to come back, there are so many things to do!

These last ten years have gone by like a meteor! Life continued much as in previous years until early 1995 when I was contacted by the president of Rocky Mountain College to see if I would be interested in returning to Montana as Director of Planned Giving for the College at a reduced income! We decided it was time for me to wind down my 20+ year legal practice in Fayetteville, Arkansas, and return to Montana to complete my working career. We moved to Billings in mid September, 1995, and have been very happy with our decision.
In addition to my involvement at Rocky, I have been active as a Board member of the Montana Community Foundation. We have done some traveling in the USA, Mexico, Canada and Europe.

Recently I took some of my yearbooks out to browse through them. We were all such sweet innocent babes. Most everyone must be retired by now as I am. I’m retired from the US Postal Service. It was a great fun job and I loved it! I was one of the very first female letter carriers in the US. Now there are so many of them.
I live alone with my dog Darcy. I have lived alone this time for over 20 years and I’m very comfy and content. We walk two miles 4 days a week and have since 1988. I garden ... container gardening mostly except for my roses and several tropical ornamentals. It keeps me very busy and out of trouble. I have two daughters Dyann and Linda and two grandchildren Rachael and Ely.
